My short intervention:
1. A POTENTIAL DANGER OF THE OUTCOME OF THIS WCIT TREATY IS THAT
IT COULD PUT A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF Regulation ON the Internet
2. TODAY we have an Open Internet.
It is important to state that The Internet Works in a Successful co-operative manner,
where the commercial world "incentivizes" all parties (each and every user of the Internet)
to grow, build and expand internet access, and connectivity and therefore connect all people.
3. This proposal assumes that the Internet is compartmentalised on a national basis
and that is far from today's truth.
4. It is not ICANN's role to engage in this TREATY, but it should be the Internet community's role to provide the support for the ccTLD holders and managers so that they can go back to their country to educate their appropriate ITU delegates.
5. We need to see and find the way how to fight to keep the Internet open and borderless
for all the people on Earth. for the global Internet community.
6. I do not have an ultimate answer, outside of these statements I have made BUT I implore others to discuss and
decide how to move forward and make changes to the mindsets of the delegates in December - so that the Interest of the Internet community is explicitly understood by all the delegates to the December WCIT.
